We recommend a full optimisation review every 3–4 years, with lighter annual reviews in between. Markets shift, lending rules change and your personal goals evolve — what was optimal three years ago is rarely optimal today.

A full review typically takes 4–6 weeks from initial discovery through to delivered action plan. Implementation (refinancing, restructuring, retendering) usually runs over the following 3–6 months.

Sometimes — but not always. Most optimisations recommend keeping the majority of the portfolio and improving its performance. We only recommend selling when an asset is clearly underperforming and unlikely to recover, or when the capital can be redeployed for materially better returns.

Refinancing addresses the loan structure in isolation. Optimisation addresses the entire portfolio — finance, assets, tax structure, insurance, property management and forward strategy — as one integrated system. Refinancing is one of many possible outcomes.
